Christy + Ted, Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA), Long Beach

These two are so sweet and easygoing I knew their Big Day was going to be as well- and I definitely assumed correctly. The day was filled with all the things that are truly important to a wedding: family, love, happiness, and lots of celebration. The vibrant and unique MoLAA set the scene for the fun occasion, and Sarah K. Chen captured all the special moments as they happened. Here's a peek at the day, starting with some of the details...

The bouquets were designed by the fantastic team over at Nisie's Enchanted Florist. I am thrilled to be working with Nisie quite a bit in the coming year on some truly incredible weddings!

Christy's vintage Manolo's were a gem of a discovery at a store in LA. I always think when I stumble across finds like this when shopping that it is kismet at its finest.

Christy wore diamonds fit for a queen thanks to jewelry her (now) Mom-in-law bestowed upon her for the day

Simply radiant! I loved her hair piece designed by Twigs & Honey

The lovely couple after their first look

The ceremony was officiated by Reverend Clint Hufft, well-known for his involvement in the televised nuptuals of Trista and Ryan. I loved working with him, and was impressed that he completely personalizes to the bride and groom, each and every ceremony he performs.

Married!

Christy and Ted's place cards win for most creative; they are both librarians, and included the Library of Congress Classification System in their seating assignments. LOVED this!

Their guests definitely brought their dancing shoes

OC's top wedding professionals + Oak Creek Golf Club= ABC-OC meeting fun!

It seemed the minute August said goodbye and September waved hello, my calendar quickly filled up with all sorts of fabulous industry events and mixers. Us wedding people certainly try and make up for lost time fast when it comes to socializing! With most of my energy May-August dedicated to weddings, it is nice to have some time to actually RSVP yes when it comes to weeknight networking shindigs. Earlier in the month the ABC-OC held its September meeting at Oak Creek Golf Club. It had been awhile since I had the opportunity to visit this venue, and the last time I was there it was in a corporate meeting frame of mind, so I was excited to see it all dressed up in wedding attire. Here are a few pictures from the evening- I will admit, I was so busy having fun (karaoke is...highly entertaining, to say the least) that I only snapped a few, most of which are of the tent that is set-up overlooking the course- used for wedding receptions. Take a peek...

Above is just a small sampling of the varying floral designs provided by many of the area's most talented florists including Couture Flower Design Studio, Nisie's Enchanted Florist, Paradise Delight Florist, Reher's Florist, and last but certainly not least, The Spiraled Stem (be sure to check out The Spiraled Stem's newly designed blog-site!)

The gorgeous cake was created by Rossmoor Pastries

I thought these truffle lollipops were so adorable- and equally as tasty! Regency Caterers definitely pulled through that night with the evening's fare.

You can also check out a full slideshow here, courtesy of Heavenly Portraits who photographed the event. And stay tuned in the coming weeks for all sorts of fun pics from spectacular soirees put on by the likes of Ceremony Magazine, TheKnot.com, and Brides.com.

Venue spotlight: SmogShoppe, Culver City

I am super excited about this new green venue brought to you by the fabulous folks behind Marvimon. From the SmogShoppe website, "Originally built as a smogcheck auto center, SmogShoppe has reinvented itself as perhaps California's greenest urban space open to events..." Able to accomodate up to 200 for a sit down dinner, there is so much you could do with the space it is unbelievable! Can't wait to get my hands on it...

Brittany + Brian, Surf and Sand Resort, Laguna Beach

I have to admit that Brittany and Brian's wedding held a special place in my heart throughout all the fun we had planning as it was the first time I was to plan a wedding at the very venue where I tied the knot almost one year ago. It was bound to happen sooner or later- and I was beyond thrilled that it was sooner, and not later. The Surf and Sand has, in my opinion, one of the most breathtaking ceremony site views that Orange County has to offer. On the Catalina Terrace, you literally feel as if you are floating on the Pacific, with Catalina just off in the distance. Beyond the sentimental factor I had an incredible time planning with Brittany and Brian because they openly embraced many of the ideas and input I had throughout planning. It was amazing watching as the concept of their color palette, black and white with yellow accents, blossomed into the final product. And it turned out gorgeous, if I do say myself! Remembering the newlyweds grinning from ear to ear that night as they boogeyed with their fun-loving friends and family, brought a smile to my face long after the Big Day had come and gone. I hope these pictures, straight from the lense of Sarah K. Chen, will bring one to yours as well.

Brittany took the whole 'fun bridal shoes' idea to a whole new level!

I just love petal tosses

Jocey with Joceybella Invites hit another homerun with all the paper details for the wedding- seriously, she is such a genius

Brittany and Brian went to NYC for their honeymoon (the two are avid tennis players so they were able to be in town for the US Open!), so they decided to name each table after a famous landmark in the city

The bouquets all consisted of sleek calla lillies- white for Brittany, yellow for the girls- courtesy of the lovely and ever so artistic Christine at The Spiraled Stem
