As Seen In...Ceremony Magazine- Orange County

I have quite a few pictures from last year that go down in my book as all time favorites. Pictures that no matter how much time passes, or however many weddings I am blessed to be a part of, will still go down in my book as classic. You can imagine how pleased I was to see one of these show up in the latest edition of Ceremony Magazine- Orange County. I was just absentmindedly flipping through the pages when out it popped! I'm sure you'll remember this adorable shot Jim Kennedy captured from Sara and Shane's wedding at Rancho Las Lomas...

Yes, she is taking a moment to dig for gold as she makes her way down the aisle. Precious!

In other news, I am headed down to San Diego tomorrow (Monday) to take part in 'The Special Event 2009'!!! So excited to experience everything it has to offer and come back later in the week with all sorts of ideas, inspiration, and knowledge. And rumor has it I get to meet up with some of my very favorite colleagues for a 'Planner's Night Out'- woohoo! Can't wait:)

Fun news for the weekend

Exciting news to share! Earlier in the week I received a packet in the mail from the team over at Project Wedding. In it was a letter explaining that Platinum Weddings by Kerrie had been chosen to receive a 'Best of Project Wedding 2008' award. This new honor serves to distinguish the 'top 5% of wedding professionals' in the area, us being among them. How cool is that?

And as if that wasn't enough good news for the week, the lovely Sandy over at the Surf and Sand Resort e-mailed me a few days ago to pass along the word that they have selected us to include on their exclusive, invite-only list of Preferred Vendors for 2009. I have always loved the Surf and Sand- so this thrills me to no end. No better way to head into the weekend than with all this great news:)

Off to Santa Barbara

I will be leaving bright and early tomorrow for Santa Barbara- so looking forward to Michelle and Derek's wedding on Saturday! Do you want to be on TV??

So I have some really exciting news! A casting agent for a major cable network station contacted me, and is looking for So Cal brides who are getting married before August that are having a difficult time deciding which bridesmaid to choose as their Maid of Honor. The show will be very classy (non-Bridezillaesque); all in the name of furthering the bonds between the bride and her friends while still having a good time. Sound interesting? Drumroll, please!

Crissy Farah and I met up a week or two ago at Fashion Island for the sole purpose of taking some new headshots for me. Ok, so maybe we had some fun while trying to accomplish the task at hand. BUT for all intents and purposes we were two women on a mission! I mean literally, we snuck around the place like stealth secret agents, darting in and out of stores before we were caught snapping pictures.

Tonight, the fruits of our labor were unveiled to me, and I am so thrilled with how they turned out. I'll be switcing up the images on the PWBK website from time to time, but I had to start out with my absolute favorite of the bunch:

Crissy, thank you again for lending your talent to my cause, and for being wonderfully silly you! I am looking forward to working with you as often as possible this year.

Good news for the New Year

Happy New Year to you all! I kicked off my 2008 with some great news; I received a package from the ABC yesterday, and in it was a certificate stating that I have earned the coveted title of Professional Bridal Consultant™. To add to that, I passed the Professional Development Course as a Distinguished Graduate. Go me!! Of course I had to take a picture:

This news leads me to believe that 2008 is going to bring good things to us all. I already know it is going to be fabulous because I get to work with many of you, my wonderful clients, who are getting married this year (Did you by chance think about that last night as the clock struck midnight?
