Inspiration in abundance at 'A Soolip Wedding'

I was so excited to finally make it to this year's 'A Soolip Wedding', the creme de la creme of bridal and wedding focused events. The event's website describes it as "a modern bridal event presenting a well-edited collection of L.A.'s unique and most distinctive bridal resources, A Soolip Wedding features designers and companies that are highly recognizable to secret gems, all from which to create the most stylish yet personal wedding". This year was ultra special because it was the 10th Anniversary. And of course it was held again at the oh-so-divine Vibiana. Couldn't make it out there yourself? Well definitely try to next year- but for now, check out some of the photos I snapped of all the inspiration to be had:

This was hands down one of my favorite table designs, brought to us by the lovely team at Shutters on the Beach.

I love that Flite Design provides these delicate and luxurious silk lanterns as rentals for weddings. Definitely have a wedding coming up that these would be so perfect for! You'll see them in their full glory again in a later picture...

Flite Design also does one-of-a-kind custom invitations. So fantastically decadent!

Peony & Plum has such a fresh eye for floral design! And I love the quote that they use to represent their company; "Happiness held is the seed; happiness shared is the flower".

I had to get a close up of the fun and funky vase they chose for the display- I loved that it had little air bubbles in the glass which added the neatest texture to the already gorgeous submerged florals.

This bouquet by Floracopia makes my heart melt...the delicate succulents mixed in with the pristine ivory roses- so lush, but in an elegant and understated way.

The infamous Vanilla Bake Shop custom cupcake tower- love love LOVE. Can you tell there was lots of love in the air that day? And not to be forgotten, the fabulous cake with the feminine yet modern floral motif winding up the side. More love!

Another cake by Vanilla Bake Shop. The navy blue and light pink palette is a long-time favorite; a nod to the nautical in a fresh way.

I had to sneak a food picture in, of course! Patina is constantly raising the bar on their catering offerings. This sumptuous grouping of four small bites is what they call 'the four seasons'. Each little quadrant has a taste of food that brings to mind either winter, spring, summer or fall. Genius, right? They were almost too pretty to eat.

There are those silk lanterns from Flite Design I mentioned earlier

My partners in crime for the day, my girls Amy and Christina. XOXO!

ABC-OC Meeting Round-Up: Pelican Hill and BTB Event Productions

The ABC-OC started off the year with a bang having already hosted two fabulous member meetings. Yesterday I found myself back at the Resort at Pelican Hill again for a Coordinator's Only Meeting. I've been out there twice in the last few weeks for client tastings (And trust me I am NOT complaining; their food, service, and location are all to.die.for amazing!) We were all treated to fun and fresh decor, delicious food, and the most perfect weather ever for being out on the coast. Here are some of the pictures I took of the vibrant set-up:

Fusion Linens showcased some of their new offerings- this particular linen was my personal favorite. Love the detail!

Nisie's Enchanted Florist never fails to impress me with her lush and unique floral design.

Seating was provided by Chameleon Chair Collection. Their chairs and chair decor are seriously works of art. Rhonda was there to show off some of their new designs (I didn't get any pictures though), and WOW is all I can say.

Dessert was definitely a highlight- I almost felt bad eating the artfully plated and oh so delicate macaroons with raspberry sorbet. Yumm-o!

If you haven't seen the view from the event lawn (where outdoor ceremonies are held) you are missing out.

And back at the beginning of January, I attended an all-member meeting hosted by Best of the Best Event Productions. It was mind-blowing to tour their GINORMOUS (and I do mean, ginormous) warehouse of all-things event-related. They have just about anything you could dream up as far as event decor and design goes- and if they don't have it, they have a workshop where they can make it in a jiffy. Some fun pictures I took of the party decor:

Hollywood in the OC at TheKnot.com's 'Season Preview' Party

Another fantastic party; this time at the Casa Romantica in San Clemente and hosted by the TheKnot.com. The weather was absolutely perfect for the gorgeous coastal setting and the crowd in attendance couldn't have been filled with a better mix of wedding professionals. It was also great to know that the event focused on 'eco-chic' in an effort to educate and encourage the wedding industry to be more aware of ways to include green elements in weddings. Here are a few details from the night of Old Hollywood Glam gone green:

Believe it or not- this fabulous work of art is a cake! Compliments of Let them Eat Cake

The lounge furniture vignettes provided by Fusion Linens, were set-up all over- even on the back ocean view portion of the venue. They were perfect for mingling!

Two of my favorite ladies and I managed to finally get a photo in- we always forget! From right: me :), Christina with Simply Modern Weddings, and Amy with In the Moment Weddings & Events

To view even more images from this amazing event, head on over to the Exquisite! Event Planners blog post recapping the party. Carrie Goff and her team did a fantastic job planning and coordinating the event- kudos!

Catching the wave at the Ceremony Magazine party

Ceremony Magazine threw their annual bash last month at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace, and it was definitely a fabulous evening for all that attended. Not only was the decor top notch, but the food was sooooo delish. My favorite (thought up by the innovative Jay's Catering) was little personal size servings of gorgonzola fondue in a tiny little bread bowl, with your choice of dippers including sweet potato chips. Can you say yummmm? Even more exciting was running into our bride getting married at the Library next June (big shout out to Lauren!) Of course I have pictures to share; and for even more (pro) eye candy, head on over to catch the California Wedding Wave yourself. More details to come on this soon-to-be launched new wedding planning resource.

Loved the crisp, clean colors of this tablescape designed by Jenny B Florals

How fabulous is this look from Ambiance Designs by Shawn Adams? So vivid and opulent- love it!

Bobbe Vagell Floral Concepts is so incredibly innovative- there were goldfish incorporated into the centerpieces. So cool.

And of course, Nisie's Enchanted Florist won me over with her lush display. I am loving the yellow linen with the contrasting purples and blues!

Rrivre Works provided the event design and furniture- which meant for some killer one-of-a-kind stuff. Can you spot the footed end tables (there were similar high cocktail tables as well)- these are my new favorite. Such a fresh take on the typical wedding decor. But this was just the beginning...

...I am crazy about this gorgeous cocktail table...

...and this bar? Amaaaaazing!

Of course you can't have a wedding industry party without a cake. Linda, owner of The Cake Studio, seriously blows me away everytime with her masterpieces. It broke my heart when they sliced into it- until I had a bite and was happy again:)

The lighting was provided by Honored Occasions- they always do such an incredible job.

Overall, it was an amazing evening and I had a fantastic time talking with old friends and new. The whirlwind party train continues on- more posts to come!
