Venue spotlight: Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills

I have been noticing many fabulous wedding pictures floating around recently on photographer's blogs from weddings held at this magnificent venue, so of course I had to look into it. The Mansion includes a fantastic outdoor ceremony site that can seat up to 400 guests, as well as several options for outdoor receptions that vary from 60 to 200 guests seated at dinner tables. My personal favorite is the Inner Courtyard area, with the focus of the courtyard being a gorgeous restored water fountain. From the venue's website, "Greystone Estate provides an exclusive, unique setting for your event. Built in 1927, with many areas recently renovated, Greystone Estate is registered as a National Historic landmark". The following are pictures from the same website, to give you a taste of the beauty of the property:

Thank YOU!

It's always nice to hear when I make a difference in my clients' lives. When a couple takes the time out of their busy lives to write me a thank you note, it warms my heart and gives me such satisfaction- it really is an incredible feeling. Although I really think that I should be the one saying thank you- thank you for being who you are; thank you for making me a part of such an important time in your life; thank you for being a friend, not just a client.

I wanted to share a few of the heartfelt thank you notes I have received in the past few months:

From Richard and Regina:
"Dear Kerrie,
Richard and I are really happy that we've found you and have you to be our wedding coordinator. You are professional, caring and upbeat! We wish we had included you earlier; you've made things so much more organized and efficient. For people who are getting married, you are definitely the FIRST person that we would recommend!! Thank you, Kerrie!"

From Katy's parents, Sue and Chris:
"Dear Kerrie,
Chris and I wanted to enthusiastically thank you for all your wonderful assistance in creating a wedding of our daughter's dreams! The day felt flawless (although I know stuff always happens :) ) Katy, Ty and our family and guests had an unforgettable evening. You are surely special!"

From Rachael and Rob (you'll see their pictures from the fabulous Crissy Farah in the next few weeks):
"Kerrie,
We can hardly express our appreciation for all of your help in planning our wedding. You have been professional, kind, helpful and understanding. Hiring you was definitely the best decision we made! Thank you for all your hard work."

To all my wonderful clients, I say: thank YOU!

Tara + Jason, The Historic Cottage, San Clemente

Tara and Jason had the perfect recipe for a fantastic wedding. Take one amazing venue (the Historic Cottage), add in an insanely fun couple with family and friends to match, mix inn a dash of vibrant details and a pinch of phenomenal vendors; put out in the perfect Southern California sun for the afternoon and voila- one fabulous wedding! I had such a wonderful time helping Tara put together her last minute details the month of the wedding, and I must day, everything came together just flawlessly.

Brian Crane was on hand to make sure no moment went uncaptured and here is a sneak peek for you to enjoy:

We started out the day at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott where Brian snapped this shot of the bouquets (love the daisies!)

Tara, looking ever so gorgeous and bridal

These parasols were so key for guests during the ceremony- I highly recommend any couple having their ceremony here in the afternoon consider including them, as it can get warm

This picture is the epitomy of Tara and Jason- too cute!

The parasols definitely came in handy for pictures as well:)

Tara was sporting 'Cyndi Lauper fishnets' as she called them under her gown- so sassy!

Tara made all of her own centerpieces out of candy, which guests were encouraged to take home at the end of the night. I think everyone had a good sugar rush going!

Can you believe the sunset? It was seriously stunning!

A special thanks to the following fabulous team:

Dr. Paul Ystebo, Officiant extraordinaire

Kerrie + George, Private Residence, Tustin

Kerrie and I joked that she was drawn to me because of my name (can you believe it is spelled the exact same way?), but it turned out we had a lot more in common than just our names. We even drive the exact same car- color and everything! Kerrie and George planned an extremely personal wedding that was held at her grandparents beautiful home- the same home that she spent hours playing in the backyard as a child. I knew this was going to be a day filled with happiness and meaning for all involved, and Kerrie did a wonderful job including tons of personal touches throughout. I truly felt like a member of the family by the end of the day! For your viewing pleasure, some pictures from the day:

Kerrie made all of her own centerpieces- so simple and chic!

One of the layers of the cake from Sweet Gems was red velvet- to die for!

Sweet Gems also made an amazing groom's cake for George that looked like his jersey from when he trained for the Mexico track and field Olympic team

Kerrie was all smiles the whole day

Kerrie's grandpa, who owned the house where the wedding was held, walked her down he aisle. There was not a dry eye to be seen!

The fabulous Janice Bryant officiated

Kerrie's dad, Napoleon, serenaded the couple during the reception

Champagne bucket- or vase- you decide:)

Guests had a blast filling their favor bags at the candy bar
