What was I doing 10 years ago?

-10 years ago I was having a blast my Junior year in high school. I remember my group if girlfriends and I would design and make t-shirts for every dance (think 'Hula Hotties' on the front for the Aloha Dance). Somehow I ended up always organizing the efforts. I'm telling you- the planning bug hit me early!

Things On My To Do list:

-Today: Get in touch with a bride for a VERY exciting wedding coming up soon- details to come

-This month: Get down to San Diego to visit one of my best friends and her hubby

-This year: Volunteer more (I am going to get involved with Habitat for Humanity through my husband's work in the springtime)

-Sometime in my life: Travel to the Mediterranean

Bad Habits:

- I am a slave to my e-mail and check it WAY too often

- I am obsessed with my DVR

Things Most People Don’t Know About Me:

-I love cheese and anything carbalicious

-My friends call me 'Bear'. It came from my other nickname of 'Kerbear', which they shortened to just 'Bear'.

Regina + Richard, to-be-wed

Regina and Richard have such a fantastic style as a couple- their wedding in April is going to be the perfect blend of unique elements and personal touches. I am very much looking forward to it! They headed out with Sarah K. Chen this week for an engagement shoot in LA, and I had to share a few of the pictures with you; as I'm sure you will agree, they are fantastic!

Jean + Chris at Calamigos Ranch, Malibu

Winter weddings always have such a magical feel to them, and Jean and Chris' was no exception. I couldn't tell what was sparkling more- the dazzling lights strung seemingly all over Calamigos; or Jean, who put the term 'Princess Bride' to shame with her gorgeous glittering dress, twinkling eyes, and never-ending smile. I was so lucky to have been a part of their Big Day which was filled with such love and warmth. After initially meeting with the couple I knew that their families were bound to be special people each and every one of them, and they sure were! From the skies clearing just in time for the ceremony and not one droplet coming down until the reception was in full swing, to Jean and Chris being surrounded by all their guests on the dance floor as they basked in the moment, it was an evening filled with special memories and much happiness. Congratulations, you two!

I have been doing my 'no rain dance' big time this past week in an effort to keep the skies bright and shiny for Saturday's wedding in Malibu, and I think my efforts are paying off. Ashley + Cort, to-be-wed

I always get excited when I see my client's pictures come up on my favorite photographer's blogs. This time, it was the talented Michael Norwood, who headed out to the Mission Inn with Ashley and Cort last weekend. I thought it was great that they chose to shoot at the Mission Inn. Not only does it provide a variety of gorgeous picture locations, but it has a very different feel than the St. Regis Monarch Beach, where their wedding will be held this July.
